On 14 August 2017, Green View Public School,
celebrated Independence day (2017) with zeal and spirit befitting the occasion.
The Indian tricolor was unfurled in the school field in the morning. The Guest
of honor for the occasion presented Sashes and House Flags to the Captains and
Prefects. Thereafter, the cultural program began with the National Anthem and
welcomed the students with a welcome speech. The students marched in step as a
company to the the patriotic song. The
stage was beautifully decorated with tricolor balloons and a string of flags
lined the were well placed on the stage .All students who had gathered for this
special occasion also carried one tricolor each in their hands, very proudly
The assembly commenced with an invocation followed by a soulful rendition to
the inspiring patriotic song “The school choir set the pitch for the program
with prayer songs. The school choir enthralled the audience with the patriotic songs
they sang. The highlight of the program was the enactment of the Indian freedom
struggle by the students of our School Students also danced to the songs. This
colourful presentation received much deserved applause from the students
present.
At the same day we celebrated Janamashtami with great fervor ,gaiety all passion and
zealous. The students came dressed in
traditional attire. A beautiful backdrop was made with little Krishna in
the cradle. Gopikas and other various characters and enacting their respective
roles perfectly. The event comprised of Group Dance on the life of Krishna .Group
Songs that show the devotion to Krishna and Nritya Natika by students. To remember the day, a story on the birth of
Lord Krishna was shown. Children enjoyed decorating dandiya sticks and
flutes.
