REPORT
Save the trees, save the earth, we
are the guardians of the mother earth.
Keeping
this in mind and in compliance with Delhi Government ‘JAN SHAKTI ABHIYAAN, 15 July 2019 which has been identified
as “School Students and Eco Club Day”. The green army of Green View Public
School initiated the evergreen movement of planting the saplings in the school
vicinity as well as nearby premises.
To
create awareness and train school children towards the need of plantation,
pupils of classes VI to XII of Green View Public School begin the day with
rooting the saplings of NEEM, LEMON,
JAMUN, PEACH, MANGO, GUAVA etc. in the school and near-by premises.
Additionally,
the school management has introduced some of the needful and oxygen releasing
plants such as:
Ø ALOE:
These plants increase the level of oxygen and absorb carbon-dioxide as well as
CO.
Ø FIKUS:
Quite effective in purifying the air of formaldehyde.
Ø IVY:
Absolute vital herb , have the capacity of vanishing 60% of the toxins in the
air.
Ø SPIDER PLANT:
It helps in absorption of carbon monoxide and formaldehyde from the air.
Ø SNAKE PLANT:
It produces oxygen during the night.
Ø PEACE LILIES:
Removes toxins from the air.
Moreover,
as a part of the green initiative a POSTER
MAKING COMPETITION in classes VI to VIII and the theme was WATER CONSERVATION. Students were
extremely happy and promised to run a Tree Plantation Drive at their homes as
well as their surroundings.
The
Green Ambassadors pledge to work in an environment friendly manner which
includes usage of paper bags, water management, saving electricity and other
activities.
