ANNUAL DAY-
PANORAMA
One of the most anxiously awaited
occasions in any school is its Annual Day. Students of Green View
Public School, celebrated the 1st annual day-PANORAMA on 28th December
2015 in school premises and brought to life the beauty of Delhi, Ramayana and
Panchbhutam.
Great excitement and hurried
activities were visible all around.The preparations for the annual day begin
much ahead of the day itself. Students, participating in the dance, drama and
music programs, were called for long rehearsals. Students, who stood first in
class in academics and various zonal and inter zonal competitions, were made to
undergo the actual practice for the day through a mock-session, so that they
know how to conduct themselves in the presence of the august audience.
Refreshment was provided to the students and staff members.
As the Chief Guest and other
distinguished guests arrives, they were escorted by a reception-committee,
including the members from the Managing Committee, the principal, teachers and
students. Function started at 5:00pm with the floral welcoming of guests. The
venue of the function was decorated with Writings, flowers, banners and lights.
After the floral welcome and lamp
lighting welcome speech was given by Ms.Pooja (English PGT) and Ms.Veena (Hindi
PGT).The Guests were requested to give away the prizes to the position holder
in academics and zonal. The prize- giving-ceremony was also an interesting
event to behold. Each time the name of a prize – winner was called out, the
band strikes inarching tune and the student marched up to receive the prize and
thanks the Guests.
Students were dressed beautifully in
five elements of life –land ,fire, water,air and sky. Invocation dance was
presented by the students .Our blooming buds presented panoramic dance which
mesmerized the audience.
Ms.Surbhi (academic coordinator)
presented the annual report and highlighted the achievements of the students in
various fields.
Next act was Bal Ramayana in which
students presented a harmonious ensemble of the epic that sculpted morals,
value system and rich legacy of Indian traditions. School management remarked
that the show aimed to bring forth the culture and tradition of India in all
its glory.
The school magazine was released
by the honorable chief guest Mr.Ajit Singh Chaudhary, secretary of Surajmal
memorial education society, delivered an eloquent speech.
The most awaited moment came when the
talented students of GVPS presented a dramatic quintessential journey of Delhi
so far.
It was followed by a vote of thanks
from the Head-Girl, who thanked the teachers for their affectionate guidance
and teaching, provided by them. She also expressed the gratitude to the Chief
Guest for accepting their invitation and for all the compliments/ he has
conferred on the school.
The programme ended at 8.20 pm with a
National Anthem.
After that all the parents were
requested to collect their ward from the respective green room as mentioned in
the circular. The dispersal was very smooth. Teachers handed over the costumes
to the concern person.
