EARTH
DAY CELEBRATION
This year children of G.V.P.S, celebrated the EARTH DAY with a great zeal on 22nd
of April. The theme of this year’s EARTH
DAY was to save all the resources such as:- water, electricity, trees, and
overall environment.
In the same context, certain activities were
initiated on 22nd of April and children pledged to continue their
efforts till they could create an impact around them. Special assembly was conducted in the school
premises along with different programs mentioned below:-
Ø Poem
Recitation on Earth Day by the student Deepanshu of class IV-B.
Ø Song
was presented by the students of class VI,VII,VIII
& IX.
Ø Dance
performance was initiated by the tiny shining stars of section Pre-primary of
the school.
ACTIVITIES:-
The
activities were planned to create maximum awareness and impact as follows:-
Ø POSTER MAKING COMPETITION:-
Children of
classes IX to XII participated in poster making competition along with message
giving slogans.
Ø EARTH DAY POSTER :- With the help of art teachers a huge banner was prepared by the
students with the message on iy.
Ø Coloring competition:- Children of class –II participated in coloring competition, they
colored the printed sheets related to the EARTH DAY.
Ø HEAD GEARS:-
Children of class-I actively participated in head gears making activity.
They’ve created beautiful earth day head gears.
