“Electrical Safety Precautions for Students”
Flying kites near power lines and electrical facilities is
dangerous and can cause accidents and, also, disrupt electric services if kite
gets entangled in power lines. Here are the few tips to fly kite safely:
·
Never fly kites near electricity wires, it may
cause accident. Fly kites only in open areas where there are no overhead power
lines.
·
The metal coated thread (manja) connected
to the kite is a good conductor of electricity and may give shock when it
touches or come close to the electrical line.
·
Never attempt to remove your kite form
electricity wires. It can lead to accident.
·
While flying your kite, keep strings, wooden and
paper arts completely dry.
·
Kite flying from illegally extended balconies/
roofs is unsafe and can lead to causalities.
·
If there is a snapped and broken conductor never
touch it. Immediately contact your nearest DISCOM office or contact on call
center number mentioned in your electricity bill and stay away as far as
possible from snapped or broken conductor.
